Already considered to be party legends, The 17th Floor has astounded audiences around the world with their remarkable blend of live hip-hop and R&B music, accented by solid musicianship, energy, tight choreography
and a strong commitment to entertaining their audience . The storyline of The 17th Floor was started by Greg Thompson drummer and his brother Aaron Thompson bass guitarist . It wasn’t long before they were touring college campuses all over the mid-west and south. A favorite at every campus they invaded. Their big break came when the female hip-hop group TLC happened to stumble upon one of their rehearsals in Atlanta. Needing a band for their upcoming tour, TLC hired them on the spot and, within a few short months, The 17th Floor went from performing at fraternity houses to 30,000-seat arenas. The 17th Floor shared the stage with such acts as Boyz II Men, Jodeci, and M.C. Hammer. After the completion of the TLC world tour, The 17th Floor jumped back into the smaller-venues better than ever! Opening up for major artist like Ludacris,Maroon 5, Earth,Wind & Fire, Busta Rhymes and may may more. They continued touring college campuses even adding a tour of Japan and Taiwan. The 17th Floor then returned to the United States hoping to embark on yet another national tour. They didn’t have to wait long. A young, up-and-coming R&B artist at 16 named Usher mentor A.J. Alexander contacted The 17th Floor. The band happily obliged by rehearsing with Usher for his "My Way" tour and appearing with him on the FOX Networks Keenan Ivory Wayans Show. On there own The 17th Floor is still performing for audiences often found on college campuses and clubs across the U.S.
